I have gone many years singing “The 12 Days of Christmas” without knowing anything about what I was singing about. If you’re up in age like me, you probably can relate.
For some reason this morning the question popped in my head, “what is a partridge in a pear tree?” So I went to goggle and typed in “The 12 Days of Christmas” with lyrics in my quest to find the answer to my question. I found the lyrics and much much more. Almost every post one the first page of google had the lyrics with an explanation of the song’s origin and a broken down explanation of each verse. The one I enjoyed the most and chose to share with you comes from vox.com. “The 12 Days of Christmas” explained.
No longer do we have to be in the dark about any subject matters that come to mind. As a matter of fact, I highly recommend that you do your research on any and all topics that come to mind so you’ll be able to pass your knowledge of things on to others. Knowledge is power. How much power do you possess?
Oh yeah, while you’re passing this knowledge on to others, pass out a little Christmas joy as well. It doesn’t make any difference to me how you share, just share. You may be comfortable with telling others Merry Christmas or you may be a Happy Holidays person. Which ever one you are is okay with me. But in the mean time, I’d like to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.
My featured song to you this day is “Happy Holidays” by the Whispers.
