“Someday At Christmas”, song by Mario is my featured Christmas song for you today. Read the words as you listen to the song and let them sink down deep into your heart so you’ll be reminded that many others are going through difficult times, while others are making personal sacrifices to make Christmas as peaceful as possible for us all.
As I read these words I see hope for the world.
Someday at Christmas men won’t be boys
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free
Someday at Christmas there’ll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life’s really worth
There’ll be peace on earth
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life’s really worth
There’ll be peace on earth
Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmas time
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmas time
Someday at Christmas we’ll see a land
No hungry children and no empty hand
One happy morning people will share
Our world where people care
No hungry children and no empty hand
One happy morning people will share
Our world where people care
Someday at Christmas there’ll be no tears
All men are equal and no men have fears
One shining moment my heart ran away
From our world today
All men are equal and no men have fears
One shining moment my heart ran away
From our world today
Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmas time
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmas time
Someday at Christmas man will not fail
Take hope because your love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart
Take hope because your love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart
Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmas time
Someday at Christmas time
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmas time
Someday at Christmas time
As you celebrate this Christmas Holiday take a minute, pause, and think about the millions of people who won’t be celebrating and enjoying the way that you and your family will.
I have known many people who fringe at the thought of Christmas Day because something tragic happened to them on this very day last year, the year before or perhaps for some many years ago.
While watching the news for the last week or so I’ve seen clips of people loosing their places of residence because of fire. Can you imagine doing all the planning you do to prepare to make Christmas Day a success for your family and then your house burns down only to leave you homeless? Unimaginable.
Speaking of the homeless- they don’t have homes or apartments that can burn down. Need I say more.
I could go on and on with all of the things that I want you to reflect on, but unless you live in a cracker jack box you already see things that touch your heart.
To sum it all up, if we can’t do things for others physically or financially to make their holiday season better, then pray for everybody who’s less fortunate than you are.
Reflecting! If a child can think to do something like this kid did, we as adults have no excuses. Student surprises classmate with PlayStation 3 for Christmas.
If you can’t think of things to reflect on, then read the words of “Someday At Christmas” and reflect as you read. Please listen to the song and enjoy it’s beauty. Merry Christmas To You & Yours.
